Ferrous Metal

Potters Recycling are an independent ferrous metal recycler. We purchase all grades of ferrous metals and offer extremely competitive pricing, excellent service, an extensive range of containers in a range of sizes from an 8 cubic yard to a 40 cubic yard roll on/off skips.

All metals can be classified as Non ferrous metals and Ferrous metals. Ferrous metals are those metals which contain iron. They may have small amounts of other metals or other elements added, to give the required properties. All ferrous metals are magnetic and give little resistance to corrosion.

We accept scrap ferrous metals from all across the Shropshire and Powys borders from the Welshpool, Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Newtown, Llanfair Caereinion, Llanfyllin, Montgomery, Llanymynech, Machynlleth, Llanidloes, Caersws, Carno Knighton, Presteigne, Brecon, Bishops Castle, Telford, Guilsfield and Berriew areas.

Most commonly used ferrous metals are Mild Steel, High Speed Steel, Stainless Steel, High Tensile Steel and Cast Iron.
